Released in the 2000s, this model features the Cal. 6R movement, developed by Seiko as a mid-range caliber based on a more widely used movement, replacing the older thin Cal. 4S, which had some issues with serviceability. This particular watch, the SARB005, was among the earliest models to use the Cal. 6R.
The SARB001–SARB011 series was known as the “Retro Modern” collection, characterized by colorful dials reminiscent of 1970s timepieces. Among them, the 001, 003, and 005 stand out for their use of cut sapphire glass, which not only enhances the strong retro-modern feel but also retains its beautiful cut over time, making them highly sought-after models.
